SUPPORTED LIVING SERVICES
Caring Alternatives provides supported living services for people who have a learning disability, are on the autism spectrum, including Asperger’s, people with mental health needs, physical disabilities and dementia, both early onset and older age dementia.
These services may be in accommodation provided by a Housing Association where the person moving in has a tenancy in their own name, some properties may be shared houses or bungalows, or individual flats within a block. The shared properties will have communal areas such as lounges, dining rooms and kitchens and everyone will have their own bedroom, the majority with en-suite provision.
The services are regulated by the Care Quality Commission and we are providers in Cheshire and Greater Manchester.
OUTREACH AND DOMICILIARY CARE
We can provide a range of personal care and essential domestic support services for people who choose our services, people living in their own homes who may be unable to carry out these tasks by themselves. These services are also regulated and assessed by the Care Quality Commission.

SPECIALIST DEMENTIA CARE
We can provide care and support in the community for people who have early onset dementia, in some cases for people with a learning disability, and people who have old age dementia. We also have a specialist residential care home in Greater Manchester for people aged over 55 who have dementia, mental health needs or a learning disability. This is Hillcrest in Tyldesley which has a good local reputation and provides a comfortable, homely, secure, and safe environment for the people who decide to live there.

COMPASSIONATE CARE SERVICES
While the services provided to each person varies due to their choices and needs, it is tailored for each person.
Services we provide are:

Support with all the domestic tasks to maintain your home, cleaning and tidying, bed making and changing bed linen.

Planning meals, support with shopping and cooking,

Assisting with dressing and grooming, and with personal cleanliness (washing, bathing and showering),

Assisting with getting in and out of bed,

Preparation of meals and drinks

Help and assistance with general getting about, mobility needs,

Prompting with medication, or administering medication,

Providing company and companionship,

Escorting /accompanying to outings, shopping, community day centres, hospital appointments, doctors surgery and pharmacy,

Providing care to cover for family carers to take a break

Respite Care
We are able to offer respite care in a dedicated home for a small number of people to enable people to have breaks or manage periods of need such as Carer's illness or holidays.
